![]() ![]() Food tab – Contains all Food-type items, separated from chems/meds/devices.Mostly everything is sorted into sub-menus now, except currency. Misc tab – Magazines/Holotapes/Notes/Keys are filtered out.External sorting mods are incompatible as they follow different sorting standards to Horizon.Īll options below apply when "DEF_UI Config - Sub-Menus" has been choosen during installation. Sorting mods aren't necessary because Horizon's DEF_UI plugin integrates item sorting. KeyNuker was originally written by lyravega and is incorporated into DEF_INV and thus also into Horizon. The DEF_INV_TABS.xml was updated to set better icons 1.5.4:23.and icon is added to the DEF_INV_TAGS.xml config 1.0.2:2.The Container and Barter screens have been re-sized and are larger compared to vanilla Fo4. This feature is enabled when choosing " DEF_UI Menus - Components and Menus" during Horizon's installation.Īs of now HUD Framework is not required to be installed together with Horizon.ĭEF_INV alters and improves the graphical interface for Container, Barter and Pip-Boy inventory screens. This feature shows scrap components (component tags) beneath items when looting. In Horizon these options aren't available anymore, at least not without external mods. Elements could be moved, rotated and resized as desired, partially hidden such as the HP tag on the HP meter for example. ![]() Show Scrap Components – When looting scrap components are visible beneath items.ĭEF_HUD was able to customize HUD (Head's Up Display) elements such as HP, AP, Crit, XP, Enemy HP meters, compass, dialogue, and messages.Item Sorting – Items follow tagging standards in the game files (thus most likely conflict with other sorting mods).Pip-Boy – Additional tabs and sub-folder in the Pip-Boy.New Tabs – Available in container and barter screens.Container – Extended graphical user interface (GUI), e.g.Icons – Items, skills, perks, folders, tabs, menus, damage types in-game are properly tagged with an icon. Thus the upcoming version 1.9 will show crystal clear icons with better item assignment, bold colors and are very easy to notice while most icons have their own unique appearance. Zawinul announced on in his "next-update-teaser" channel on Discord, that the icons in the current version of Horizon (1.8.0-BETA-7) often times don't serve their intended purpose and make things more confusing than if there were no icons to begin with. ![]() The Icon Library by Phlunder in turn were further optimized for Horizon by its author Zawinul. Just like the original DEF_UI, Horzion's DEF_UI makes heavy usage of tagging and incorporates icon designs by psychosteve ( SkyUI icon Set) and omega9380 ( ICONLIBS2 for DEF_UI) which were rescaled and fixed in Phlunder's Icon Library. Choosing to not use Horizon's DEF_UI is not supported since the game will look terrible without it. It's an optional Plugin and included in the installer. The original DEF_UI was created by Neanka (with additional updates by valdacil, OldNick, ParasiteX, sekoms, lyravega). The plugin contains a modified DEF_HUD, DEF_INV and KeyNuker and will conflict with other sorting mods. ![]() Horizon's DEF_UI allows for better item sorting by improving and adding item tags, icons and subfolders in-game. ![]()
